About Programme

Architecture is the multidimensional language of communication between space and its user. It focuses on human needs, expectations, and comfort. It is the art of designing and constructing open and closed spaces, both horizontally and vertically, based on durability, functionality, and aesthetic values. All disciplines related to life and the environment, at every moment of life, fall directly and indirectly within the scope of architectural philosophy. It is an interdisciplinary field that respects sociocultural and historical values ??and aims for innovative, technological designs. It is the process that researches, generates knowledge about the demands of human construction between the natural and artificial environments, transforms this knowledge into design, and implements it.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Architecture graduates have the ability to design and analyze interdisciplinary and at different scales. Therefore, they can work in a wide range of jobs. Since architectural projects cannot be approved and buildings cannot be built without the architect's signature; architects are employed in all public institutions, municipalities, and ministries. In addition, institutions such as schools, hospitals, and private and public institutions of all sizes need architects in positions such as project management, consultancy, building inspection, and technical drawing, from the design process to the demolition phase. Especially in large projects, architects undertake tasks such as cost management, material selection, and construction monitoring in addition to the design process. Architects are responsible for designing buildings in accordance with aesthetic, functional, and safety standards and managing construction processes. In this process, understanding customer demands, complying with building regulations, and supervising the construction process are important tasks. Architects can specialize in many areas such as building materials, protection, building physics, insulation, energy, and they research elements such as interior design, decoration, lighting, and ergonomics in determining the size of the design space area and improve living spaces in terms of functionality and aesthetics. Architecture graduates can specialize and focus on larger-scale projects such as urban design, landscape architecture, and urban planning, and deal with the organization and planning of cities, parks, and other open spaces. Although they are primarily interested in the design of buildings and other open and closed structures, they are among the professions with the most career options. The construction sector is the locomotive of approximately 250 different sectors. The production of materials such as glass, ceramics, vitrified, wood, etc., consulting project owners about material content, and marketing are also among the areas of work of architects. Architects who want to make a career can continue their academic education by choosing various areas of expertise and then become academics. They can work directly or as consultants in the film sector and space designs on digital platforms. Our graduates continue their professions in the specified fields.
